My sister has done Medifast before. She lost a lot of weight before she got pregnant and was even a health coach with Take Shape for Life for a little bit. So, when she started to have success with it again, I decided to try it with her. I think I tried it once while I was in nursing school, but I didn't really do it 100%. I was studying at Panera and there is NO WAY you can be in Panera and not get Loaded Potato Soup in a bread bowl with a side of bread, right? haha.
I did lose some weight on my own by eating right and exercising and I was really proud of myself. But then I started working night shifts. If you have ever worked a night shift, you know it wreaks havoc on your body and health. And with my Diabetes (Type 1 I might add), it was making it worse. So when I saw my sister having success again, I decided it was time to do it and do it right. This last week was my first week and, though it was tough to not eat BBQ on Labor Day or have macaroni and cheese with my son, I have lost 5 lbs in the first week and I could not be more elated! This next week, I should lose about the same amount and then it will slow down a little bit. Now that I have seen results, eating "diet food" is a lot easier. I'm thankful, too, because I started selling ItWorks! about a year ago. Among other health products, we offer body wraps that help to detox, tighten, tone and firm.
